Each episode title of the series begins with “AKA.” Fans may recall that the show’s original title was A.K.A. Jessica Jones, a subtle reference to Jessica’s comic book series, Alias. Marvel and Netflix presumably avoided calling their show Alias due to issues with J.J. Abrams’ early 2000’s ABC spy show of the same name.
