The next Captain America sequel, Civil War, promises to be another game changer as well. Based loosely on the popular Marvel comic story arc, the film will see Steve Rogers go head to head with fellow Avenger Tony Stark. The power struggle will inevitably spill over and force Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to select a side.
In an interview with We Got This Covered, Anthony Mackie was asked which side he thinks his character, Falcon would land on in the Cap/Iron Man struggle.
“I don’t know,” Mackie said. “It’s hard. Tony Stark is one cool brother, so I would definitely have to side with himย just for the parties. Then when it came to the fight, I’d go over to Cap (laughs). Tony and I could party together, but as soon as it comes to fighting, I’m with Cap.”
In the comics, Falcon is one of Cap’s most loyal allies. In fact Falcon has currently assumed the mantle of the super soldier.
Captain America: Civil War lands in theaters May 6, 2016.
