Batman Helps The Homeless

Yesterday the residents of Springfield, MO. were reminded that Gotham isn’t the only city under the care of the Caped Crusader.

Springfield’s Batman teamed up with local residents in a fundraising drive to help keep the homeless warm, Ozarks First reported.

Nearly $400 in food, gloves, sleeping bags and other supplies were obtained and delivered to those in need.

For Springfield’s Batman, knowing he made a difference was a rewarding experience.

“My friend Josh invited me to help out in the community,” he explained. “They were getting hand-warmers together, clothes and gloves for all the homeless people in need. It felt really good– you can tell there’s a lot of people in need. It’s just the best we can do right now to help out.”

For his charitable aid within the community, Springfield’s Batman was recently awarded a key to the city.
