It was just announced that Larry Fong will shoot the film, and he has proven time and time again how skilled he is with a camera.

Fong has worked on many of Zack Snyder‘s films over the years. In addition to Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice, Fong also shot Watchmen, 300, and Sucker Punch. Some fans have complained about Snyder’s films over the years, but even those doubters had nothing but praise for the beauty of their cinematography.

Larry Fong has also worked with accliamed directors Louis Leterrier and JJ Abrams. He shot Now You See Me for Leterrier, and Super 8 for Abrams. This wasn’t the only time he worked with Abrams, as Fong filmed the pilot episode of Lost, which is highly regarded as one of the best single episodes in television history.

The cinematographer is fresh-off another big-budget blockbuster, as Fong just wrapped up working on Kong: Skull Island. A new trailer just dropped for the film, and one of the many highlights regarding the footage is how masterfully it was all shot.

It’s clear that Larry Fong is a master at his craft, and he should bring a level of class, and experience, to The Predator that few other cinematographers could. With Shane Black signed on as director, having written the script with Fred Dekker, the crew of The Predator is shaping up to be a solid one.

The film is based on the 1987 hit of the same name, and is rumored to have cast Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, and 50 Cent. The Predator will hit theaters February 9, 2018.
