Comic Book Hot List for March 21, 2012

Spring has sprung, fellow comic book fans!  There’s more than just pollen in the air, as the arrival of new and exciting story arcs, recurring characters and twists of fate all await us this week with the return of the comic book hot list and a look at what will be hitting store shelves tomorrow at your local comic book shop!  Let’s not delay, shall we?  First up…DC Comics1.  Batman #7  Batman tries to regroup after barely surviving his first head-on encounter with the Court of Owls.  Now, what’s the next move?2.  Justice League #7  This issue jumps to the present of the DCU, as the League begins the “curse of Shazam” story arc!3.  Catwoman #7  Catwoman has a new partner and will attempt to divert attention away from herself as she sets a new course.  Good luck.4.  Birds of Prey #7  Choke is exposed, but he has a tight grip over one of the Birds.  Hint, she has a loud voice.5.  Green Lantern Corps #7  John Stewart must make peace with the death of a fellow Lantern, and his hand in it.6.  Wonder Woman #7  It may sound trite, but Wonder Woman goes to Hell (well, the Greek underworld anyway)7.  Nightwing #7  Ding! Ding!  Nightwing vs. Saiko once again, and as we’ve already seen, it’s a pretty even match!Marvel Comics1.  Amazing Spider-Man #682  The ends of the Earth!  Doctor Octopus!  Spider-Man goodness!2.  Invincible Iron Man #514  The Mandarin arrives in America, and Tony has to respond to his actions in Fear Itself.3.  Kick-Ass 2 #7  The finale to this series is here, and Kick-Ass and Hit Girl face off with some expletively named thugs.4.  Thunderbolts #171  The merry time travelers are STILL at it, but now they face some familiar and recent faces.5.  X-Factor #233  Havok and Polaris are back, and they’re taking charge of the X-Factor Investigations6.  Anita Blake: Circus of the Damned- The Scoundrel #5  If the title alone doesn’t grab you, I don’t know what else to say.Image Comics1.  Hack/Slash #14  Part three of the “Monster Baiting” arc is here.  Get it out of the gutter! Samhain and Psychosaurs are here!2.  Heart #4  The mini-series comes to an end here, and the fate of Rooster Redmond in and out of the cage awaits.3.  Hoax Hunters #0  An interesting twist on the are monsters and aliens real genre that you’ll have to read to believe.4.  Prophet #23  Prophet sees God here.  Well, the G.O.D. satellite, but hey, it fits!5.  Red Blood #1  A new four-part series begins here, and the zombie motif steps up here, as now every thing on Earth can kill!Dark Horse Comics1.  Ragemoor #1  An intriguing new tale begins, with a living castle as our humble protagonist.2.  Star Wars: Dawn of the Jedi #2  The Force is out of balance, and only three young students can help.3.  The Goon #38  More Goon origin, and after his adventure with Chinatown, what else can we learn!4.  Dark Horse Presents #10  Another fantastic collection of stories this month, and plenty of bang for your buck.Boom! Studios1.  Steed and Mrs. Peele #3  The Golden Game ends here, and Steed and Peele are on the hunt for Tara King.2.  Planet of the Apes #12  Sullivan continues to push the fight for humanity’s freedom to the next level.3.  Peanuts #3  Plenty of all-ages fun here, as the classic characters come to life with this latest installment.
