Life is going to get frosty for The Flash‘s supporting cast—and no, that’s not a reference to Rogue (turned Legend) Captain Cold.
Rather, it’s STAR Labs and “Team Flash” member Caitlin Snow who will ice things down for the Flash. As Danielle Panabaker, who plays Snow, revealed in a Reddit AMA, she will eventually become Killer Frost on the show.

As Panabaker noted, “From the beginning, I knew that Caitlin Snow becomes Killer Frost. And I can’t wait to suit up and duke it out with the boys!” While she didn’t reveal exactly when she’d receive the power upgrade, Panabaker did say that it was coming soon, and to “watch the season finale” for developments.
So, it sounds like Snow could possibly undergo some transformation during next week’s season finale, setting up Frost for Season Two.(After all, Harrison Wells did start that Particle Accelerator back up in “Rogue Air.”) Indeed, Panabaker even confirmed that The Flash‘s production team has assembled a Killer Frost costume for her.
Killer Frost is a stone-cold murderer and supervillain in her DC Comics iteration, but Panabaker didn’t clarify if her character will go rogue or not. She did say, however, that there will be a wedding in next week’s episode, describing it as “Fun. Cold. Emotional.”
The Flash’s season finale airs May 19 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.
