After a report yesterday that Alan Cumming’s return as Nightcrawler wasn’t going to happen, the actor confirmed during a radio interview that it wasn’t going to happen yesterday.”No, they haven’t [asked me to return],” Cumming told Sirius XM. “Someone asked me that the other day and I said no. I know the one that’s coming up shoots this Spring, but I wouldn’t be available anyways. I dont think they have. I was gonna meet my manager for dinner later, I was gonna ask him, but no, I’m sure they would’ve told me, had they approached.”Cumming had previously said that he’d be willing to participate if asked–but that nobody had called him yet. A couple of days ago, X-Men: First Class star James McAvoy erroneously listed Cumming as among those returning for the sequel, setting off a new round of speculation.
