If 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool is a hit at the box office, you can expect the studio to bring back director Tim Miller to helm the sequel. Then comes the fun chore of picking which mutants will appear in it. In the past, Miller has indicated that he’d like to introduce Cable in a sequel. He also has two other Marvel characters he’d like to see the Merc with a Mouth throw down with, and they aren’t obscure like Angel Dust (Gina Carano) and Negasonic Teenage Warhead (Brianna Hildebrand).
“I’d love to see Deadpool go up against Taskmaster who’s another Marvel total f**kin’ badass,” Miller shared with Empire. Taskmaster, aka Tony Masters, took a serum that allows him to utilize his muscle memory to absorb knowledge instantaneously. As a result, he’s skilled in various forms of combat and is an expert swordsman and marksman.

“But if I was to stay inside the Fox family, I would like to see him fight X23. the female Wolverine,” he offered. “The female clone of Wolverine. It would be totally messy, but just to have it be a girl against – you know, she’s young, in the comics she’s about 16 or so – but to see a young girl kicking the sh*t out of him would be pretty f**king awesome.”
