Iconic cult film actor Bruce Campbell has confirmed, via Twitter, that he plans to play the lead role in the upcoming Evil Dead television series, announced at Comic-Con International San Diego.

The series is being produced by Sam Raimi, who directed the original Evil Dead film series that helped garner Campbell his cult following.
