Everyday items like car keys, receipts, or that that secret bag of gummi bears you stash away for a rainy day are all things that people commonly misplace or lose track of. For the Power Rangers, they needed something a bit more epic in scope, and so they lost control of their incredibly powerful Dinozords.

That’s bad enough, but the person who has the keys? That would be the Black Dragon, which is like if you gave the keys to your vintage Porsche to your cousin Sid, whose only goal in life is to see how many brick walls he can run into at full force. Just saying, it’s pretty bad.

What’s not bad are the five variant covers for Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #8, which come for a variety of talented artists, and all of which you can spot in our exclusive gallery. The Main Cover is drawn by Jamal Campbell, while the Zord Incentive Cover was created by Goni Montes. The 2nd Incentive Cover was created by Sean “Cheeks” Galloway, and the Unlockable Action figure Variant was drawn by David Ryan Robinson. Finally, the Unlockable Villain Variant was drawn by Bachan.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is written by Kyle Higgins with interiors by Hendry Prasetya, and issue #8 will go on sale in October. You can catch the official description below.

“The world is on lockdown. The Dinozords, now under the Black Dragon’s control, are stationed around the globe invoking Rita’s word as law. With the Rangers left powerless, Rita calls upon Tommy to make the ultimate sacrifice or risk Angel Grove’s survival.”
