Marvel’s 100th Anniversary Specials imagine what the Marvel Comics universe might look like in the year 2065, 100 years after it was created. This Spider-Man Special is treated as an actual artifact from that era, presenting itself as the final chapter of an 8-part story titled “Great Responsibility.” The story sees Spider-Man going up against the Kingpin, empowered by a techno-symbiote suit.
100th Anniversary Special Spider-Man #1 goes on sale July 9.
It’s 100 years after the wall-crawler’s creation, but when the Kingpin has taken Spider-Man’s ultra-powerful techno-symbiote suit, Spider-Man will need to prove once again why he is the world’s greatest super hero.
