The Falling Skies Season 3 Premiere was a two part episode. The first episode was called “On Thin Ice,” and the second episode was called “Collateral Damage.” The Season 3 Premiere answered a lot of questions from the Season 2 Finale, but it also raised a lot of new questions. Here are our picks for the top five questions raised.1. What’s up with the baby? โ Anne has her and Tom’s baby, and it’s a girl, who they name Alexis. It turns out that Alexis is rather advanced for her age. She never cries, and she is moving around and talking at only a couple days (or weeks) old. Is she somehow part alien?2. Who’s the spy? โ There’s a spy in Charleston who is leaking information to the enemy. Manchester is getting close to figuring out who the spy is, when the spy shoots and kills Manchester with an alien gun. Since we learn in the episode that Hal’s ex-girlfriend Karen planted something in his mind, could Hal be the spy?3. Can the Volm be trusted? โ The point is made over and over again in the premiere that the resistance has been turning the tide against the Espheni invaders thanks to help from the Volm. According to the Volm, they were once invaded by the Espheni, and now they travel the galaxy helping other planets invaded by the Espheni. Tom seems to trust the Volm, but Weaver and Pope do not.4. What exactly are the new aliens building? โ The Volm are building something, which they describe as a big gun to help defeat the Espheni. Of course, no one knows for certain that they are really building what they claim to be building. Given what usually happens in science fiction movies, we’re guessing it’s some type of device that will open a gateway to their world so that they can invade Earth once the Epheni are defeated.5. Is Dr. Cadar going to be a series regular? โ It didn’t take long for Terry O’Quinn’s character Manchester to mean an untimely end. However, a new character named Dr. Cadar introduced. Will this reclusive scientist become a recurring cast member of the show?
