Yesterday, 20th Century Fox made several key changes to its scheduled upcoming releases, including delaying The Greatest Showman on Earth, a biopic about circus master P.T. Barnum starring Huh Jackman, for a full year.

Originally set for release on Christmas Day 2016, the Barnum biopic has been moved to Christmas 2017 instead, with The Hollywood Reporter suggesting that’s likely to give Jackman some breathing room to make the third Wolverine solo film.
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, Tim Burton’s adaptation of the best-selling novel of the same name, will now open on Christmas Day in 2016. That widens the gap beween when Peregrine and Burton’s Alice in Wonderland sequel, Alice Through the Looking Glass, are released. Alice comes in May 2016 from Disney, and Fox had originally scheduled Peregrine in March.
DreamWorks Animation’s Boss Baby has been scheduled to open on March 10, 2017, a move from its original January 2017 date. The March date previously belonged to Dreamworks’s Captain Underpants, which for now seems to have vanished off the schedule altogether.
