Frank Grillo (Captain America: Civil War) will reprise his ‘Sargent Leo’ role for Universal, Blumhouse and Platinum Dunes’ The Purge 3, according to Variety.
Grillo, who is best known for his roles in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Warrior, starred in The Purge: Anarchy (2014), which was the sequel to 2013’s The Purge, that starred Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey.

The plot: One night (7 pm till 7 am) a year in the not-so-distant future, crime is legal and all police, fire, and medical emergency services are shut down โ leaving citizens to fend for themselves. In Anarchy, Sargeant plans to use “Purge” night as an opportunity to kill the man killed his son in year ago while he was driving intoxicated. But before he get his vengeance he is reluctantly helps some ill-equipped citizens caught out in the open.
Franchise creator James DeMonaco is writing and directing the third film in the series, which in the past, he revealed would actually be a prequel โ tentatively titled The Purge: Origins.
The Purge 3 is scheduled to be released on July 1, 2016.
