The film reportedly grossed $68 million on Friday and is on the way to being the biggest opening weekend since The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One, one of the only movies to open bigger than $100 million at the domestic box office last year.

To date, the biggest opening for a Fast and Furious movie is the previous installment, Fast & Furious 6, which opened at $97 million.
