Celebrating twenty years of Image Comics, artist Chris Giarusso–whose fan-favorite all-ages series G-Man has found a new life at the company–will reproduce twelve classic Image first issue covers as variants for future issues of the titles.His reproduction of The Walking Dead #1, shown at right, was actually released at Emerald City Comic Con along with an April Fools’ Day announcement that the series would be recreated panel-for-panel as an all-ages-friendly book composed of tales of terror for tykes. The press release doesn’t make it clear whether The Walking Dead will be one of the titles to participate in the cover program, although it seems likely.Another cover, this one for Youngblood, was also included with the press release, which says that the cover will be a variant to Youngblood #71, to be released on May 23 as part of the best-selling Extreme Comics relaunch which has so far yielded best-selling and critically-acclaimed reinventions of Prophet and Supreme, among
