It looks like House Tarly is going to play a more significant role in the next season of Game of Thrones. HBO has cast Samwell Tarly’s mother, father, and sister for the show’s sixth season. The report comes from Watchers on the Wall, and has been confirmed by HBO.

James Faulkner will play Randyll Tarly, Lord of House Tarly and one of Westeros’ greatest military minds. Faulkner played Lord Sinderby on Downton Abbey and Pop Sixtus IV on Da Vinci’s Demons.
Samantha Spiro will play Randyll’s far gentler wife, Melessa. Her past credits include roles on London Spy and Psychobitches.
Rebecca Benson will play one of the daughters of House Tarly, most like Talla (the only one of the three to be named in the books so far). Benson is known for her performance in the stage production of Let the Right One In.
These three join Freddie Stroma, who has already been cast as Sam’s brother, Dickon. Sam will continue to be played by John Bradley-West.
Game of Thrones Season 6 will air on HBO in 2016.
