Ice and Fire shows the Kingslayer wearing the white cloak and gold scale of the King’s Guard, suggesting that Jaime takes on his duty as Lord Commander. So how will he feel about the state of the guard under Joffrey’s rule? And how will the guard feel about a Lord Commander without a sword hand?
