While many fans have taken to Henry Cavill’s version of Superman from Man of Steel, for many older fans, no one can truly replace the late Christopher Reeve, who portrayed Superman in the Superman films of the late ’70s and ’80s.
YouTube user Adeel Malik has attempted to bring the two together in a video by splicing footage from Man of Steel together with footage from Reeve’s Superman films.

The video casts Cavill’s Superman as an evil Superman clone, created by Lex Luthor. Reeve’s Superman battle’s the evil clone, and then show’s him the light by introducing him to his true Kryptonian origin.
Project subtext onto that plotline as you will.
Cavill will next appear as Superman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, opening March 25, 2016.
