Tom Cruise is returning to the universe of Jack Reacher later this year, and a new TV spot for the film shows just how good he is at getting things done.

In addition to hard-hitting combat, fans also get more of a glimpse at Colby Smulder’s Susan Turner, an Army Major who enlists Reacher’s help in finding the killer of her unit, a unit that Reacher used to command. He was already hard to handle before things got personal, and well, now that it is, expect a lot of people to get punched….a lot….and hard.
Crusie reprises his character from 2012’s Jack Reacher, a series based on the books written by Lee Child. Jack Reacher: Never Go Back is actually based on the 18th book in the series.
The new film’s Director, Edward Zwick, recently spoke about Crusie’s acting methods, including his versatility and eagerness to film as many of his own stunts as possible.
“I’ve never seen anybody more prepared both physically and mentally than Tom. He’s tireless and unbelievably focused,” Zwick said. “It’s a pretty boring job to be Tom’s stunt double. He did all of his own stunts. It’s almost a hallmark of what he does. He does every bit of it himself.”
Jack Reacher: Never Go Back hits theaters on October 21st. You can view the new poster for the film in the gallery, and the new trailer spot in the video above.
