Director Sam Mendes (Skyfall) appeared on BBC Radio and revealed that the Spectre theme song has been recorded. Though he wouldn’t divulge which artist sung it.

“I can say the song has been recorded,” Mendes told BBC Radio. “It’s fantastic and I’m very excited about it.”
So, who sung it? English singer/songwriter Sam Smith had been speculated to be the frontrunner but according to him he was never approached by producers. Though he did hear a juicy piece of gossip on that front. Smith told Capital FM Radio, “I heard Ellie Goulding was going to do it.”
