J.J. Abrams hosted the Irish Oscar Wilde awards in Los Angeles, where Star Wars star Carrie Fisher was being honored.

While at the awards, Abrams spoke about Star Wars: The Force Awakens, specifically all of the rumors surrounding the film. He teases that some of the rumors are true – though he doesn’t say which ones, and that he’s thankful for everyone searching out spoilers.
“There are a ton of rumors – some true, some false,” Abrams says, “But I’m grateful for everyone who would want to read a spoiler because it means that they care and want to see the movie.
“I know what it feels like, as an enormous Star Wars fan myself.”
Star Wars: The Force Awakens opens December 18.
