Calling all Pokemon GO trainers! If you’re looking for a gym to crash and are local to the Red Bank area, it might be time you headed on over to Jay and Silent Bob’s Secret Stash. The famed comic store, according to owner Kevin Smith, promises to be your go-to Pokemon Gym these days.

Smith confirmed the store’s status on Twitter today after a fan wrote to him, saying, “I hope it brings a smile to @ThatKevinSmith’s face that the the Quick Stop is a Pokรฉmon Gym.” The filmmaker responded excitedly, writing back, “It does! But I also just learned today that according to the @PokemonGoApp, @The_SecretStash is a #PokemonGym!”

So, really, the question is who’s sitting on top of the Secret Stash now? Has Team Mystic overtaken the iconic storefront or has Valor and Instinct put up a good fight?

Of course, these two locations hold a special place in Smith’s heart since they’re directly related to his successful career at a filmmaker and comic authority. Fans will recall Quick Stop from Clerks as the film was primarily shot at the convenience store. In fact, Smith used to work at the store by day during the filming of Clerks as he manned Quick Stop before shooting started at night.

As for Secret Stash, the comic book store was bought by Smith when its original owner decided to close the location. Purchasing the shop with his earnings from Clerks, Smith transformed the store into a pop culture haven for all things comics and films. In particular, Secret Stash holds many props and pieces of artwork that appeared in his films like Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, and more.

Famously, the Buddy Christ statue that first appeared in Dogma resides in the shop, and the Internet hosts tons of photos where fans can be seen posing with the jolly figure. Really, if Niantic were smart, they’d go ahead and make the prop a pokestop itself.

Now, I guess the countdown has started for an official Secret Stash gym melee. I wonder what kind of profits the store might see should Smith host an all-out Pokemon GO bash at the loved location?
