Comicbook.com: Are you having a good time here at Wizard World in Las Vegas?

Kevin Sorbo: Yeah, I had a home here for a while, so I know my way around.

Comicbook.com: First of all, you’re on CONtv’s new Mythica.

I am.

Comicbook.com: It’s a trilogy coming up, what else can you tell us about that?

I think they’re done shooting. I think what they’re racing for now is fundraising like they did in the first one, just to get a little more cash to finish up the special effects and stuff. But, loved it. Loved the script. I’m not in it that much, I’m sort of like the Gandalf of it. It’s got a Lord of the Rings sort of feel to it. I, sort of, just come along every episode, like 6, 7 scenes in each movie to be this guiding force for this young wizardress woman that could become very evil if I don’t help her find the lightside, not the darkside.

Comicbook.com: Have you watched either of the new Hercules films that came out last year?

I watched Dwayne Johnson’s.

Comicbook.com: What did you think?

I liked it. I liked the visual effects. Thought it was great. I know Dwayne, he’s a casual friend. We used to work out at the same gym together. We used to work out together and talk a lot. A little bummed he didn’t ask me to be in it because they did it with Lou Ferrigno and the Hulk. They put him in as a security guard. Not to write a scene for me… You know? Because we talked about it and the director said, “No, not interested,” which I think is a little ridiculous. Hercules was the number one show in the world in the 90s. We passed Baywatch. Not to put me in as Zeus… Age me up… I thought on their part, they were stupid. So, I’ve said it more than once, I don’t care who hears that. They were stupid not to put me in there.

Comicbook.com: Would you be willing to go back to a Hercules role in TV or movies?

Some kind of role. I’m too old to play Hercules now. I weighed 235 back then, I weigh 212 now. I’d have to beef up. I’d have to really juice for real and I’m not interested in doing that.

Comicbook.com: So, I guess that rules out any future Hercules and Xena crossovers with Lucy Lawless?

I don’t think she has any interest in that, either.
