Line Webtoon has announced “Overdrive” as the grand prize winner for their second Science Fiction Comics Contest. A global competition launched in June by the free digital comics platform, the Science Fiction Comics Contest sought out the best science fiction comics that creators had to offer. And after an exhaustive global search, which included more than 800 entrants, it looks like Line Webtoon made a wise choice.
“Overdrive,” by creator “Srinitybeast”, follows the story of two siblings as they are sucked into the dark but exciting world of underground robot fighting. With their mysterious new bot, Amp, in tow, the siblings enter the high-stakes world of robot fighting. As the grand prize winner, Overdrive will see a weekly release on Line Webtoon, while Srinitybeast walks away with $30,000 in prize money.
