Fox has acquired the film rights to Malignant Man, the comic book series from Saw, Insidious, and Fast & Furious 7 director James Wan. Wan will produce the film and possibly direct, according to Deadline.
Malignant Man is the story of Alan Gates, a man coming to terms with terminal cancer, until he discovers that his tumor is actually a parasite. The parasite grants Alan unusual powers, which Alanย uses to fight a secret army hidden from society.

Malignant Man comes as a part of a first look deal between Fox and BOOM! Studios, the series’ publisher. The series was co-written by Michael Alan Nelson with art from Piotr Kowalski and Jordie Bellaire.
