Many fans seem to be unfamiliar with the 19-year-old English actor, so let’s get to know him.
As a 16-year-old, Holland left a fantastic performance on screen (which he is best known for) in 2012’s The Impossible. He portrayed a young boy named Lucas in the film based about one family’s true story from Thailand’s tragic tsunami in 2004.
Since, he has played several roles in movies and television, including lending his voice to the Tom Hardy driven (literally – the whole movie was in a car) Locke, 2013’s How I Live Now and the TV min-series Wolf Hall. All of these are in addition to the three projects he has already wrapped filming on.
Holland’s previous acting resume has displayed his ability to convey the emotion and youth of Peter Parker, but recently, the actor took to Instagram to show off a different set of skills. Perhaps he’ll be doing some of his own stunts?
According to Holland’s IMDb profile, none of his projects require his talents at the moment, which indicates he would be free to shoot some Spider-Man/Peter Parker scenes for Captain America: Civil War in Atlanta.
A standalone Spider-Man film starring Holland in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the titular wall-crawler is set for release July 28, 2017. The standalone edition is set to be directed by Jon Watts of Cop Car and Clown! fame. To check out the full comic book movie release schedule, check out our movie database!
