Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain Announcement Coming Soon

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojimo is teasing an imminent announcement regarding the next game in the series, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

Kojima posted and image to Twitter, simply saying “Announcement Coming Soon…”

Continuing on from the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, The Phantom Pain is set in 1984 and follows mercenary leader Venom Snake. The game will take snake through Africa and Afghanistan during the Soviet War, as he seeks revenge on those who annihilated his forces in Ground Zeroes.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is expected to be released in 2015, though no firm release date has been set.
