A team of nine worked for three days to install IMAX technology, including:
–An IMAX screen measuring approximately 56 feet by 37 feet. A custom screen frame was designed to stand in front of the proscenium and support the IMAX screen and speakers.
–IMAX’s proprietary dual-projection system. The system – which includes two projectors that weigh approximately 1,300 pounds each – was mounted on a balcony with stepped seats and isolated from the theatre itself.
–A custom sound system. The system was configured and tuned to optimize the playback of the film’s IMAX soundtrack in this unique environment. This included a way to mount two rear speakers in the optimum positions at the back of the theatre.
