The M7 Build Team has been a part of the Emmy-nominated show since Season 2. Host Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman have spoken previously about 2015 being something of a “reboot” year for MythBusters, implying that it would have a new visual style when it returns next year.
It seems that the “reboot” goes a bit further than cosmetics. In a video tribute released on the MythBusters Facebook page (embedded below), hosts Hyneman and Savage explain that the M7 departure is part of their attempt to bring the show back to its roots, with just the two of them at the forefront.
Byron, Imahara and Belleci have also commented on their departure via their respective Twitter feeds.
After a decade of the Mythbusters, we are no longer with the show. Thank you to all the fans who have supported us.

The show is taking a new direction. It was an amazing run. I learned so much about myself and the world. I love you all @MythBusters

Thanks @MythBusters for allowing us to teach science in a whole new way. Also, explosions. Now, on to the next adventure!

It’s been an amazing ride for 10 years! We couldn’t have done it without you guys. You’re the best fans anyone could wish for. Thank you

Some fans have also speculated that this may be a cost-cutting measure on Discovery’s part, as a show with two hosts is likely much more cost-effective than a show with an on-screen team of five.
