The Flash season two starts tonight, and a rash of promotions are hitting leading up to the 8pm premiere on The CW.

The official twitter account of the show posted a new poster with the tweet, “It’s go time.”
The poster has several notable aspects to it. First there’s the blue contrails, wavy lines that sure seem like they’re leading to a bright central spot – maybe a portal? Either way, it’s not the usual yellow or orange lightning seen when Barry Allen runs (you can see that around his emblem). There’s also a fire below him, and smoke emanating from the top of his costume, most likely foreshadowing something. Jay Garrick’s helmet from Earth 2 is down on the ground in front of him, as well, emphasizing how important the character will be to the season. Lastly, there’s that serious look on Barry’s face. Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of Barry’s happy-go-lucky nature.
