Unfortunately for Pokemon fans there won’t be any new reveals or news on the much anticipated Pokemon GO at GDC this year.

“We have decided to forego our GDC talk on Pokรฉmon GO in order to focus on getting the product ready for beta test and launch,” says Niantic CEO John Hanke. “As much as we hate to disappoint those in the industry attending GDC, we feel our time and energy right now are best spent on making sure every aspect of the product is where we want it to be.”
If it is between a team showing off an inferior product at GDC or said team concentrating on getting the game ready for launch, I will always drift towards the latter. It is disappointing, as the game has all sorts of potential, and many fans eagerly await a prolonged look at how it is shaping up.
Pokemon GO is an augmented reality game for mobile, where you will use your phone to spot Pokemon and catch them with your mobile device. The same team behind Android’s Ingress game is being Pokemon GO.
