Pawn Stars Savage Dragon

It just might be the strangest Savage Dragon crossover ever. On the Thursday, August 14 episode of Pawn Stars, Erik Larsen’s long-running Image Comics series Savage Dragon made an appearance.

In the episode, Gold & Silver Pawn Shop owner Rick Harrison starts a book club. However, the book club turns out to be a colossal failure, as nobody but Chumlee shows up for the book club. To make matters worse, Chumlee hadn’t even read the Moby Dick book that Rick selected.

Given the lack of his interest in his book club, Rick agrees to let Chumlee pick the next book. The book that Chumlee selects is a Savage Dragon comic book. At the next book club meeting, Rick shares his thoughts on the issue.

“I liked it. I thought it was very interesting,” said Rick. “We have a teenage boy dealing with teenage issues, trying to impress his father, and fight crime at the same time. There seems to a possible love interest in future episodes with Jazmine, and the artwork was pretty good.”

As Rick talks, Chumlee and the other Gold & Silver Pawn Shop employees give him a blank look. Another Gold & Silver Pawn Shop employee chimes in, “You know, I really liked it when Malcom Dragon said playtime was over, and then he killed the bad guys.”

Chumlee agees, “That was pretty badass. I liked it when he goes [making a punching motion], and the whole wall breaks.” As another employee compliments Chumlee on making a good choice, Rick lets out a sigh.
