If there weren’t enough comic book television series out there to satisfy your needs, then get ready. Another superhero-inspired show is coming to cable, and it will be overseen by the comedic hands of Seth Rogen and Evan Golberg.
The pair are developing two new series through Sony Pictures TV for Fox and ABC respectively. The superhero series will be a sidekick-focused show written by Mike Rosolio. The duo’s other show is focused on the ever mysterious Illuminati society that’s been the target of millennial memes as of late.

So far, both series have been granted script commitments plus penalty and stem. This means that the studio and networks are relatively confident about the upcoming pilot episodes. Rogen and Goldberg’s Point Grey Pictures will be in-charge of the series while the two act as executive producers.
Right now, there are not many details available for either show. The superhero series is said to follow an “ambitious MIT graduate” who winds up being employed by a rich tech guru. However, the graduate discovers their boss is a secret vigilante at night. Suddenly, the heroine then finds herself turned into an unwitting sidekick who watches over her crime-fighting employer.
As for the Illuminati series, writer Brad Copeland has created a hilarious suburban landscape filled with mysterious (and hilarious) characters. The show will follow a young married couple whose relationship goes awry when one of them turns out to be a member of the Illuminati.
With these series in development, Point Grey Pictures is poised to have a stellar year. Two of their previous pitches through Sony TV have already landed since AMC acquired Preacher earlier this year. The show has already been renewed for a second season. Hulu will house the studio’s next project Future Man.
