Last week, Variety published a story celebrating the illustrious career of filmmaker Ridley Scott, who received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on November 5. Within the article there is news of Scott re-teaming with his Gladiator screenwriter John Logan for his Prometheus sequel.

Variety reports: “He and scribe John Logan are revising the script for an as-yet-untitled Prometheus sequel — inspired, he says, by Milton’s epic poem Paradise Lost — set to start rolling in February.”
Just so there is no confusion, the Prometheus sequel has a title. Scott revealed in a September interview for The Martian that the Prometheus sequel will in fact be titled Alien: Paradise Lost.
As for Logan, he is the third scribe to work on Alien: Paradise Lost. The first draft was completed two years ago by Jack Paglen and then Michael Green was brought in to rewrite it. I’ll assume Logan and Scott are just giving the script a spit-polish shine.
Logan is the creator of Penny Dreadful and has also written screenplays for Spectre, Skyfall, Hugo and The Avaitor.
Alien: Paradise Lost is expected in theaters sometime in 2017.
