Annihilator, Stan Lee’s superhero concept that’s been described as a “Chinese Captain America,” is set to be adapted into a feature film by Bones executive producer Barry Josephson.Josephson joins a project that’s been stagnant for nearly a year since announcing that Dan Gilroy of The Bourne Legacy fame would adapt the property for the screen.According to The Hollywood Reporter the film, which reportedly will cost between $100 million and $150 million and be in English with some Mandarin scenes, is the first of several projects that will be funded in part by National Film Capital.Iron Man 3, based on a character co-created by Lee, was also partially funded by Chinese investors and filmed part of the movie overseas, a move that caused a great deal of controversy at home and abroad.
