Laura Vandervoort, who played Supergirl on Smallville, returns to the franchise next week, but this time as a villain. The actress will appear as Indigo on the Supergirl episode “Solitude,” and the first images of her in full make-up and costume have been released by CBS.

The images show a blue-skinned red-haired character, calling to mind a certain villain/hero from those Fox superhero movies, but more notably are what’s on her forehead. Yes, that’s Brainiac’s tell-tale three dots; while Indigo has connections to Brainiac in the comics (she was eventually revealed as a Brainiac-designed android), they weren’t quite as obvious as they will be on the show.
