It looks like yet another Youtube star has made their claim on network television. Olan Rogers may be best known for his hilarious vlogs on the streaming site, but he’s about to become better known for the animated series Final Space. The Internet star is teaming up with Conan O’Brien’s Conaco to bring the comedy series to TBS.

The series, which is co-written by Rogers and David Sacks, has been likened to hit shows like Adventure Time and Steven Universe by fans. The intergalactic escape follows an astronaut named Gary and his planet-destroying sidekick called Mooncake. Together, the two embark on serialized journeys through space in order to unlock the mystery of where the universe actually ends and if it actually does exist.

The writers will executive produce the series with O’Brien and several others like David Kissinger, Larry Sullivan, Jeff Rosee, Kathleen Grace, Melissa Schneider, and Matt Hoklotubbe. Sack will serve as the showrunner for Final Space.

If you are wondering how Roger’s caught the attention of a Hollywood heavyweight like O’Brien, then you can look to Youtube. The actor has a following for more than 890,000 on the site and has accumulated millions of views. Earlier this April, Rogers uploaded a 7-minute video that served as the cartoon pilot for Final Space. You can watch the video above.

“If you enjoyed the concept pilot & want to see it turned into a series give it a “good job” THUMBS UP or whatever your heart desires. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hope you enjoyed the 7 minute that’s all we could afford pilot,” Rogers captioned. Since then, the video has accrued more than 470,000 views and was enough to catch the famous comedian’s eye. O’Brien asked for Rogers to visit him in Los Angeles where plans to pursue the series began.

“Olan pitched us Final Space voicing all the characters and dancing around the conference room,” said Thom Hinkle, SVP of original programming for TBS. “It was kind of like a comedic MOON โ€“ genuinely funny and oddly heartfelt. We bought it in the room. So did other networks. We’re glad he chose us. XO.”

With Final Space joining TBS, the network is looking to make a comeback with a new animated line-up. TBS already hosts American Dad! which is currently in its 12th season, and series called Tarantula will launch next year as well.
