Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie

As most everyone has probably heard, there is a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movie in the works. The movie is being produced by Michael Bay’s company Platinum Dunes. Now, the whole idea of teenage turtles being mutants and becoming ninjas is clearly one based in fantasy, but Michael Bay apparently wants to add a new sense of realism to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.Speaking at the 2012 Nickelodeon Upfront at Lincoln Center in New York, Michael Bay said, “When you see this movie, kids are going to believe one day that these turtles actually do exist, when we’re done with this movie.” Say what? Ok, maybe someone can pull off a Batman movie that people would believe could actually happen, but Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? Here’s how Michael Bay plans to make kids believe in talking, walking, ninja-fighting turtles. Bay said, “These turtles are from an alien race, and they’re going to be tough, edgy, funny, and completely lovable.” So, there you have it, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are now Alien Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. At least, Bay’s not turning them into giant transforming robots. Unless, maybe that’s a secret he’s keeping until the movie gets released.Michael Bay talks Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles by stuffwelikeThe Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is scheduled to be released in theaters on December 25, 2013.
