It’s one of the most popular games on both the iPhone and the iPad. Now, it’s about to become a comic book. Ape Entertainment and Imangi Studios have announced a new licensing agreement negotiated by DBG to create a series of comic books based on Temple Run. Ape Entertainment will be releasing the full-color comic book series in print as well as through a standalone Temple Run Comics app for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch in the coming months.Temple Run was created by Imangi Studios, and it is a running game that is popular on many mobile devices. In the game, players race down ancient temple walls and along sheer cliffs. Players swipe to turn, jump and slide to avoid obstacles, collect coins to buy power ups, and run as far as they can through an ever more challenging terrain.The Temple Run comic book series will tell the yet untold backstory of the characters found within the game. It will also delve into the mysteries surrounding the ancient temples that the characters run through.”The Temple Run game left a lot to the imagination, with more questions than answers.
