Robert Downey, Jr. and Scarlett Johansson appeared on Ellen today, and while Downey mostly talked about his three-month-old baby Exton, Ellen herself took time out to debut some–ahem–never-before-seen footage from The Avengers, in which she appeared as a caped, nameless superhero whose powers appeared to involve annoying the rest of the cast. It’s a clever little bit of editing, and can be seen below.According to DeGeneres, she was cut from the film because her non-stop talking would have inflated the already-bloated runtime to around three days. But maybe somebody at Marvel should take note: her costume looked better onscreen than Captain America’s.
