The Big Bang Theory: Leonard And Penny’s Wedding

On the Season 9 premiere of The Big Bang Theory, Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) got hitched! Though the wedding took place in Las Vegas, all of their friends were able to watch it via a live-stream. Aw, how geeky!

Even though they were eloping, Leonard had prepared his own science-oriented vows for the momentus occasion. “Penny, we are made of particles that have existed since the moment the universe began,” Leonard began. “I like to think those atoms traveled 14 billion years through time and space to create us so we could be together and make each other whole.”

Penny hadn’t prepared anything, which is understandable, but she was able to think on her feet with lyrics from… a Pixar film. “You’ve got a friend in me,” said in her Toy Story vows. “You got troubles, I got’em too. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you. We stick together and we can see it through. ‘Cause you’ve got a friend in me.” Luckily, Leonard is moved to tears by the verse because he loves that movie. Who doesn’t!
