The Simpsons’s Hank Azaria Signs on For Seth MacFarlane’s Bordertown

Azaria plays numerous characters on FOX’s The Simpsons, including Chief Wiggum and Apu. He’s also known for live-action roles like Tuesdays With Morrieand Cradle Will Rock.

Announced at the Television Critics Association presentation, Azaria joins a voice cast that includes Alex Borstein, Missi Pyle and Judah Friedlander. The series is a family comedy set in a fictional Southwest desert town on the U.S. – Mexico border. Azaria’s character will be a border guard who sounds a bit like an Archie Bunker-style character, comically behind the times and threatened by the world changing around him.
