In a new featurette from AMC, the cast discusses the journey to Alexandria, and talk about the “new beginnings” and near-total clean slate that the change of scenery creates going forward.
“You met Rick at the beginning, being this uncompromising, undoubting man who says, ‘I know how to live in this world now,’” said Lincoln. “I certainly think that this season is about a man letting go of the past and acknowledging there is no past anymore, and we have to live this way, or we die.”

The Walking Dead returns with new episodes in October, but between now and then AMC will introduce fans to a new group of survivors in Fear The Walking Dead, a companion series set in Los Angeles in the early days of the apocalypse. That series will debut sometime this summer.
