The actor who has been bring Loki to life on the big screen since 2011 is teasing that the third Thor film may be his last time as the mischevous Asgardian.
“Thor 3 will be cool because I’ve not done it for four years,” Hiddleston tells The Daily Beast. “I love working with Chris [Hemsworth]. This will be my last time out of the gate.”
“I don’t know! Honestly, I don’t know,” Hiddleston admits about his future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “They haven’t got their ducks in a row yet. They make it up as they go along.”
Hiddleston is right about that. Marvel Studios features an always-evolving storyline in its grand scheme of continuity. That said, the Avengers: Infinity War movies are said to include 68 characters from the Marvel Universe so there is certainly plenty of room for Loki to pop up.
The last time we saw Loki, he was posing as Odin on Asgard’s throne. Let’s hope we’re far from seeing the last of Hiddleston in the role!
Thor: Ragnarok is set for release November 3, 2017.
