On a day when the first Transformers movie without Shia LaBeouf was released in movie theaters, the former Transformers star has found a way to get himself back into the headlines. Instead of attending an opening night showing of Transformers: Age of Extinction, LaBeouf evidently decided to take in a Broadway show instead, which didn’t work out to well for him.

According to numerous reports via social from audience and cast members of the Broadway musical Cabaret, Shia LaBeouf was escorted out of the building in handcuffs. According to ABC News, LaBeouf was smoking inside the theater and engaging in other disruptive behavior. He also reportedly refused to leave and threatened officers and other people. Police charged LaBeouf with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal trespassing.
Cabaret cast member Danny Burstein wrote on Facebook, “Ladies and gentlemen, this is your places call for Act II. Also, to let you know, Shia LaBeouf has just been escorted from the building in handcuffs. Yep, that just happened.”
According to the New York Post, once officers got Shia LaBeouf to the precinct, LaBeouf had to be put in a face mask, because he was spiting at officers. He also reportedly shouted obscenities at the officers.
