It looks like the long-rumored Beetlejuice sequel is finally really happening. Back in December, director Tim Burton gave multiple affirmatives when asked if Winona Ryder would return for Beetlejuice 2.

At Sundance Film Festival this weekend, MTV put the question to Ryder herself, and she gave a big “Yeah” of her own. When asked what she knew about Beetlejuice 2, Ryder said, “Other than it looks like it’s really happening…I’m so thrilled for Michael [Keaton] with everything, it couldn’t have happened to a greater guy, and ‘Birdman’ was so brilliant, and I loved him, and I would be so… I’m really, really excited.”

Michael Keaton has already said he will return for Beetlejuice 2 if Tim Burton is involved, and Burton appears to be most definitely involved.
