Y: the Last Man

screenwriter David S. Goyer, who has been working on Y: The Last Man on and off for years, told MTV Geek earlier today that the film is still moving forward and could go into production in 2014.”We’ve got a script that’s as close as it’s ever been,” he said. “That could go into production next year,” Goyer told the site. “The first movie is meant to function as a standalone,” he said, “but hopefully continue. Hopefully there will be others.”Over the course of the last several years, the project has gone through a number of iterations, including a brief period where it was being considered as a series on premium cable. At one point, Shia LaBeouf was reportedly attached. Most recently, director Dan Trachtenberg signed on to helm the film back in January, the first sign that the ship may be righting itself.
