Superpowers are one of the most iconic parts of any superhero or supervillain. Seeing people bend or break the laws of reality is really fun, and seeing how these incredible powers clash can make for some of the most creative and visually-awesome ways. Marvel is certainly known for having some of the most unique special powers for many of their characters, and often, that means that these characters wind up being insanely powerful. Sometimes, these characters can do things that are not only insane or creative, but so far beyond the pale of thought that they are practically unstoppable. Just take a look at some of Marvelโs top tier characters, and youโll see that plenty have a bonkers level of raw power.

From Magnetoโs ability to rip continents up with a thought to Mr. Immortal surviving until the end of all things, plenty of Marvelโs characters are ridiculously overpowered. Today, weโre going to be taking a look at the seven most insane, utterly broken superpowers that have ever existed in Marvel Comics, and ranking them in terms of power. Without further ado, letโs get into it.
7) Fourth Wall Breaking

Breaking the fourth wall means that a fictional character has become aware of the fact that theyโre not real, and uses that to their full advantage. Deadpool is the most popular example, but all he does is make pop culture references with it. The best example of abusing this power in Marvel is actually someone like Gwenpool. Not only can she make all the same jokes as Wade, but sheโs regularly done things like leap into the white space between panels to avoid attacks, and climb into a perspective shot where a massive villain like Fin Fang Foom is drawn small so she could punt him across the state. And letโs not forget She-Hulk, who has ripped through her own ending to heckle the writer, stepped between panels to teleport, and fired her own narrator. This power is only limited by the artist, and that is a very strong ability.
6) Telepathy

Telepathy lets characters peer into the minds of others, speak to them, and if youโre strong enough, control or even shatter them. The premier telepath in Marvel is Charles Xavier, and the good professor has more than shown how absurd this ability is more than a handful of times. Heโs done things like speak to people from star systems away, and filter through the entire human race to collect goodwill and channel all of that goodness into Cyclops, while filtering out people like surgeons and pilots. Other characters like Emma Frost the Shadow King have similar, insane feats, able to control armies of people all at once or tear peopleโs souls apart. To a telepath, it doesnโt matter if the opponent can crush a planet between their hands, if their mind is unguarded, theyโre as vulnerable as anyone else, and their power might be under the telepathโs control very soon.
5) Telekinesis

The ability to move things with your thoughts cannot be understated in raw power and versatility. While some weak telekinetics can only do something like move an apple, the highest tier ones can do just about anything they put their minds to. They can catch a hail of bullets before they touch them, hurl assailants into orbit, and rip a planet apart while sitting in their chair. The most prominent, and likely most powerful, telekinetic in Marvel is Jean Grey, especially when she channels the power of the Phoenix Force. Beyond being able to reshape the face of the Earth and go up against cosmic threats like Dominions, Jean once absorbed all of the energy from a star in seconds, which caused it to go supernova. Telekinetics can rip you apart on the atomic level or smash you with a mountain, all without lifting a finger.
4) Spontaneous Mutation

The ability to mutate spontaneously means that no matter what kind of threat you face, youโll always be able to adapt to perfectly counter it on the fly. Legion is a mutant with this exact ability, and with it has become one of the most dangerous people on the face of the planet. Legion has demonstrated literally dozens of different powers, from super strength, to telekinesis, and even time manipulation. Thereโs no limit to what kind of power that Legion could manifest, and no telling when it could appear, but it could emerge at any time that he needs it to. Legion, and anyone else with this power, has the capability to develop any other superpower on this list, as well as literally every other one you can imagine, so the potential here is literally limitless.
3) Chaos Magic

Chaos magic is the oldest, most primordial form of magic in the Marvel Universe, and in that sense, represents the unpredictable nature of probability itself. It is the first building block of creation, an essential piece of how the very multiverse is structured, which lets the users of chaos magic manipulate the structure of everything and manifest all things that have a chance of happening. The most prominent hero with this skillset is Scarlet Witch, and sheโs shown that she can do things like control probability, reshape reality, and make her very dreams a reality. There are a few rules to how chaos magic works, but for those who know them and master its power, the sky and everything beneath it is the limit.
2) Guaranteed Wins

This power is definitely a meta one, maybe even as much as breaking the fourth wall. Simply put, this power is that you will always win a fight, no matter who or what it is you go up against. The only one with this strength is the Unbeatable Squirrel Girl, who is nicknamed so for pretty obvious reasons. This technically isnโt listed as a power, more of a meta-idea and joke, but as a power could be considered utterly bonkers. I mean, if you always win, then no matter how terrible the odds or how powerful the opposition, it means youโll find a way to come out on top at the end of the day. I mean, Squirrel Girl has beaten Thanos, Doctor Doom, and literally every superhero in Marvel. Donโt underestimate the squirrels, or the ability to instant win every time.
1) Reality Warping

Without a doubt, the strongest power in all of Marvel Comics is the ability to change reality at your will. Whereas all other powers on this list have to function within some kind of rules, reality warping lets you change the rules to whatever you want. Characters like Franklin Richards, Molecule Man, and Jamie Braddock, and even items like the Cosmic Cube and Infinity Gauntlet have the ability to change everything at their whims, and even make it so it was always like that. Those gifted with this power are literally only limited by their imagination, able to create universes in their closets or restore the infinite multiverse itself. Reality warping removes every limit, and harnesses the very essence of what it means to tell a story by letting imagination run wild.
So there we have the seven most absurdly powerful and broken superpowers in Marvel Comics. There are certainly plenty of others that might deserve a spot on this list, but what do you think is the strongest of them all? What do you think?
