Wonder Woman: Steve Trevor #1

Without further ado, here are the five big issues you should read this week!

Jamie Lovett: Iceman #1

The lovable Bobby Drake is getting his own solo ongoing series, but as you know, there isn’t just one Iceman anymore.

That will be one of the ongoing themes of the series, as present day Bobby comes to terms with his place on the team and his current state of living. Reflection comes easier when you have another version of you walking the halls and looking quite a bit happier than you are.

Iceman #1 is written by Sina Grace with art by Alessandro Vitti and a cover by Kevin P. Wada. The official description can be found below.

Bobby Drake has been in the super hero game longer than most. But while reflecting on what he’s accomplished over the years, he realizes that the legacy he’s built is a few good one-liners and a string of failed relationships. Not only that, but now a younger version of himself has emerged from the timestream and he’s more put together than Bobby ever was: already a world-class hero in his own right, but also totally comfortable in his own skin, complete with a relationship with a handsome Inhuman to boot. In this new ongoing series penned by Sina Grace (Burn the Orphanage, Self-Obsessed) and drawn by Alessandro Vitti (SECRET WARRIORS), Bobby realizes that the time is never or now, and sets out to build a life and legacy he can be proud ofโ€ฆand be the best ICEMAN he can be!

Iceman #1 hits stores tomorrow.

Russ Burlingame: Batman #24

Batman has been through the ringer over the past year. Monster Men, Jacob Kane’s assault on Gotham, Tim Drake’s “death”, and Bane running roughshod over his allies and city.

The dust has settled in Batman #24, but just because there isn’t an imminent threat doesn’t mean the issue doesn’t have big ramifications for the character, which it certainly does.

If you want to know spoilers, you can read more about that big last page here.

Batman #24 is written by Tom King with art by Danny Miki and David Finch, and a cover by Tim Sale. You can view the official description below.

“Aftermath”! Gotham City is at peaceโ€ฆbut a war is coming. Armed with the terrifying knowledge gained from the mysterious button, Batman prepares for the coming storm by making a proposition to one of his enemiesโ€”one that will change everything for the Dark Knight and his allies!

Matt Mueller: Doctor Strange #20

Doctor Strange has been consistently one of the most entertaining books Marvel has put out over the last year, and this issue brings the writer Jason Aaron’s winding story arcs to a natural conclusion.

The world is still lacking in magic these days, and there’s a fight over the magic that remains. That makes things difficult for Doctor Strange, but it’s great for readers. This issue also marks a great spot to jump on for the next run, so if you’ve been missing out, there’s no better time to hop on.

Doctor Strange #20 is written by Jason Aaron with art by Kevin Nowlan and Chris Bachalo. The official description is located below.

The culmination of Jason Aaron and Chris Bachalo’s first three epic stories is here! Dormammu! Mordo! Mr. Misery! The Empirikul! Wong! Don’t miss this remarkable issue!
